You then get given a traditional blouse and information leaflet at the end of the day to take home as a souvenir. We then got to take a dip in a small waterfall pool to cool down. We helped make medicine balls and was taught about this.īathing and washing the elephants was great fun and they enjoyed the cool down time. The lunch provided was delicious too and also able to purchase some souvenirs and local ice cream too. The elephants have daily health checks to and a local vet visits to carry out heath checks. The programme here is great and would highly recommend people to visit here. The experience was incredible and we were told all the elephants names and ages and given lots of information. The elephants are well cared for and look happy. All the staff do infact! Their plan is to educate people on how to care and look after the elephants and stop people from exploiting them. You can tell he has a great passion for the elephants. He gave us lots of information about the elephants and how they run the sanctuary etc. We were then greeted by the very friendly and funny Dee. The surroundings were beautiful and there were cats and buffalo that also roamed the land. When we arrived at the camp it was truly stunning. (Maybe not ideal for people with travel sickness, pregnant women or people with back problems) ![]() ![]() The drive was fine but the last 30 mins is a little bumpy. They collected us from our hotel where we went on a open back pick up truck. We went for the full day package and it really was the most magical day! Everything was smooth and they sent all information over and arranged our hotel transportation. We had booked this back home in the UK so we could secure our date. We had carried out lots of research on different elephant sanctuaries in Thailand before visiting here and found this one to be the best one.
